Capitol City Homes Celebrates 10-Year Anniversary
This year marks our “10 Years of Excellence” anniversary as one of the Triangle area’s award-winning new home builders, and we’re celebrating at all Capitol City Homes communities with special year-long incentives at select new home communities.
With over 70 years of combined new home construction experience, owners Jason Morrow, Trey McDonald, and Glenn Hartman started our company back in 2009 with a limited staff and only five home closings. Over the past ten years, Capitol City Homes expanded to 21 employees and built over 700 homes throughout 30 communities.
Being a local helps too—we’ve established productive and successful relationships over our ten-year history with local lenders, government officials, developers, and subcontractors. In turn, these relationships allow more opportunity to buy land and grow the company.
In 2014, we teamed up with Rex Vick, a regional developer who brought with him years of development experience and a network of new contracts for land opportunities. Coming together with Rex helped the Capitol City Homes team position ourselves for sustainable growth by purchasing property in rural areas in towns including Roxboro, Wilson, Anger, Fayetteville, Mebane, and Zebulon.
Service to the community is essential to Capitol City Homes. Owners and employees volunteer and donate financially to many charities and organizations including the Wake County YMCA, The American Red Cross, The Humane Society, The Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, and Swing for the Kids.
For the fourth year in a row, our team is gearing up to sponsor the 4th annual charity golf tournament on September 26 at Heritage Golf Course to support childhood disease, with all of the donations going to a local family working to make ends meet with medical bills. To date, this event has raised over $70,000 for local families in the fight against childhood diseases. For more information about our 4th annual charity golf tournament, visit www.capitolcitycares.com.
This year, Capitol City Homes is predicting to close 150–175 homes in 15 open communities, and we have 600 lots on the books through 2021.
Capitol City Homes builds new homes from the $150s to more than $1 million in the Triangle and throughout North Carolina including Wake, Franklin, Johnston, Orange, Chatham, Craven, Cumberland, Person, Wilson, and Alamance counties and are building in more than two dozen communities. Take an online tour of our new home opportunities and we welcome you to walk through model homes or available homes for sale. Incentives offered at select communities, be sure to ask!
